Japanese Podcast “Voice of One Button” releases its soundtrack on iTunes Store

“Voice of One Button”, probably the most popular tech podcast program in iTunes Store Japan, has recently released its original soundtrack album, “#One Button Tunes 2007-2012” on iTunes Store.

The album contains 12 tracks, mainly adopted in the podcast program as opening and ending theme music from 2007 to 2012.

Soon after its release last month, the album proudly ranked 4th in the Japan iTunes album chart, beating Disney’s “Frozen” soundtrack.

“Voice of One Button” is a podcast program for Apple lovers in Japanese language. The program is mainly about news about Apple, the Internet, and technology gadgets. More than 1000 episodes have been released since 2007; three episodes a week have been regularly casted. More than 100,000 apple fan listen to this program, one of the podcasters of this program claims.

“Voice of One Button” consists of three members, Yamamura, Matsuo Rainbow, and Uoi-Sensei.

Yamamura, the executive producer of “Voice of One Button”, follows Apple for a long time. He was fascinated by early Macintosh computers, such as SE30, in 1986. Now Yamamura fascinates his podcast listeners with his entertaining talk with Apple. Yamamura is from Osaka, and he speaks Osaka dialect and talks about Apple with sense of humor. As a representative of MUGNET (Macintosh User Group founded in 1986) Yamamura holds a monthly meeting with his Apple user group members in Osaka area.

Matsuo Rainbow plays an important role in the podcast program not only as a speaker but also as a musical wizard of “Voice of One Button” podcast program. Matsuo composed “Sour Sweet Samba,” his original music dedicated to the program, and it was adopted as opening music of the podcast program, celebrating its 100th anniversary episodes release. Since then, Matsuo has produced more than 10 tracks for this program. Matsuo skillfully combines old music with Apple taste and build his own original pieces of music with full of pop and humor essence. Matsuo composed all the tracks of “#One Button Tunes 2007-2012” album.

With his deep knowledge on technology and Apple hisoty, he shows persuasive analysis about tech news during the program. He holds doctor degree of Engineering from Osaka University, and teaches Human Interface for university students.
